ADHD ASSESSMENT
If you or others have a concern or suspicion that your child or yourself may have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), then we can do a full clinical assessment for you, involving a full face to face assessment with our Psychiatrist (approx. ~ 2h) and the collating of information through standardised questionnaires and assessment tools from the parents, schools and young person. A QB check (see below) will also be carried out.
QB CHECK
A QB Check (Quantitative Behavioural Check) has been around for about 10 years now but only recently has it started to be considered as a major tool in the treatment and diagnosis of ADHD. The QB Check is a software based program that assigns real numbers and scores to your behaviour in three core areas, these being, hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention. Having a QB check allows you to see real scores rather than just subjective observations and can be carried out both before diagnosis or after treatment to either:
- Help the Psychiatrist come to a diagnosis
- Show the Psychiatrist and yourself an actual numerical value of any improvements post treatment.
