At Acorn Psychiatry we know that searching for private medical care can be daunting, especially if searching for yourself or someone else who may need help. The added financial stresses that come with private healthcare and the continuous additions of obscure fees that you may not have been aware of from some providers is something we are strongly against.

We believe in transparency and a clear pricing structure that does not try to take advantage of people who may be in a desperate situation. Private healthcare can definitely be pricey but we hope our lower and upfront fees help a little bit and we certainly won’t charge for responding to the odd email or phone call.

Please note we currently do not officially work with any insurance providers, however many insurance companies may reimburse you under several circumstances, for example if no one on their current list of providers is available to help in a reasonable time frame or suitable in relation to their speciality or distance from your home.

We are proud to offer support to our colleagues in the Emergency Services holding a Blue Light Card with a 10% Discount on any Initial Assessment carried out by Dr. Eskander (excluding Emergency Appointments & ASD assessments)

General Psychiatrist Fees

First General Assessment £625 : This includes and covers

A face to face (online upon request) assessment lasting approximately 90 minutes
A full assessment report for yourself and GP if requested
A treatment care plan if needed
A prescription for medication if appropriate

Follow Up Assessment £235 : This includes and covers

A follow up face to face (online upon request) assessment lasting approximately 45minutes
Review of the care plan if needed
A follow up letter for yourself and GP if requested
A prescription for medication if needed

ADHD Assessment £1425 : This includes and covers everything needed, such as

An in depth face to face (online upon request) assessment lasting approximately 2 hours
Conners and SNAP IV Questionnaires
A Qb Check
An ADHD assessment report for yourself and GP if requested
A treatment care plan if needed
A prescription for medication if appropriate

ASD Assessment £2450 : This includes

An in person ADOS 2 “Gold Standard” multidisciplinary assessment.
The taking of a full mental health and developmental history
Screening Questionnaires (SCQ)
A full Medical report for your own use or to help with dealings with the NHS/ Education Authorities

Emergency Appointment : We understand that some patients want to be seen urgently. We do have a small capacity to see patients out of hours but this is based on the availability of Dr. Eskander and is charged at a higher rate depending upon the circumstances and time needed. If this is a service you feel you need, please contact us for further details and availability. This is intended for seeing patients urgently and not for an actual emergency situation where someone’s health or wellbeing is in current danger. For such situations please go to the Accident and Emergency department of your nearest hospital or contact your local NHS CRISIS team.
